BYD Sealion 06

Automobiles

The BYD Sealion 06 is a mid-size SUV that BYD Auto has built since 2025, available with battery electric EV and plug-in hybrid DM-i powertrains. It was introduced in April 2025 at the Auto Shanghai and belongs to the Sealion line of SUVs in the Ocean Series, sold through Ocean Network dealerships in China, with production starting in the third quarter of 2025. It uses the Ocean Series design language with dual-layer headlights and wave-inspired taillights, and inside it has a 15.4 inch floating central display, a refrigerator, a panoramic sunroof and a 12-speaker Dynaudio system. The trunk holds 757 litres, and the EV versions add a 142 litre front trunk. The DM-i pairs a 1.5 litre engine with a 160 kilowatt motor and an 18.3 or 26.6 kilowatt-hour battery, while the rear-wheel-drive EV has one motor and a 65.3 or 78.7 kilowatt-hour battery, and in March 2026 the EV gained 1,500 kilowatt flash charging.
