BYD Seal 6 DM-i

The BYD Seal 6 DM-i is a plug-in hybrid mid-size car built by BYD Auto since 2024. In China it was first sold as the Seal 06 DM-i; it debuted at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2024 and went on sale there on 28 May 2024, sharing BYD's fifth-generation DM-i 5.0 hybrid system with the Dynasty Series Qin L. It is offered as a sedan and, from a version unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025 and launched in China on 4 July 2025, as a station wagon with up to 1,535 litres of boot space with the rear seats folded. The styling follows the Ocean series, with a closed front fascia, flip-out door handles and a lit BYD logo on the boot lid. Inside are an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a rotating 15.6-inch touchscreen. The car reached Europe at IAA Mobility 2025 in saloon and Touring forms, and went on sale in Australia on 9 April 2026 and in Singapore on 8 May 2026.
