BYD Seal 06

Automobiles

The BYD Seal 06 is a series of mid-size cars that BYD Auto has built since 2024 for its Ocean Series, sold through Ocean Network dealerships and positioned between the smaller Seal 05 and the larger Seal 07. It is the Ocean Series counterpart of the Dynasty Series Qin L and Qin Max. The first generation launched in China on 28 May 2024 as the Seal 06 DM-i, a plug-in hybrid using the fifth-generation DM-i system, and a station wagon version followed at the April 2025 Shanghai Auto Show and on sale in July 2025. A battery electric Seal 06 EV with a different design on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo arrived in 2025, and for the 2027 model year both versions share one body, with the EV lengthened by 150 millimetres. The plug-in hybrid is exported as the Seal 6 DM-i to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
