BYD e7

The BYD e7 is a battery electric mid-size sedan made by BYD Auto since 2025. It was unveiled on 9 April 2025 and released on 17 May 2025 at a starting price of 103,800 yuan. It belongs to the BYD e-series, a family once sold only to ride-hailing fleets, and has now been moved into the Ocean Series as a lower-cost option. The styling uses the Ocean Series marine aesthetics but with cost-saving changes, such as conventional door handles like those of the Atto 3, two separate tail-light units, and 16 inch wheels. A front-mounted electric motor produces 100 kilowatts and 180 newton metres, supplied by an LFP Blade battery of 48 or 57.6 kilowatt-hours, giving CLTC ranges of 450 or 520 kilometres and a top speed of 150 kilometres per hour. The boot holds 528 litres. A ride-hailing variant called the Linghui e7 was revealed in January 2026.
