The BYD Dolphin G DM-i is a plug-in hybrid supermini developed and built by BYD Auto. It was unveiled on 27 May 2026 and is the first BYD sold in Europe that was developed specifically for overseas markets rather than adapted from a Chinese model. BYD aimed it at the B-segment against cars such as the Volkswagen Polo, Renault Clio and Toyota Yaris, with European urban driving in mind. It is a counterpart to the battery electric Dolphin and Dolphin Surf. It uses BYD's Super Hybrid DM-i system with a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine and a motor, and a claimed combined range above 1,000 km. It is first imported from China, with assembly planned for Hungary.
