The BYD Atto 3, sold in China as the Yuan Plus, is a battery electric compact SUV in the C-segment made by BYD Auto and part of the Yuan family. It was first shown at the Chengdu Auto Show in August 2021 and released in mainland China in February 2022, and for many overseas markets it was BYD's first electric passenger car. BYD says the Atto name comes from the attosecond, a tiny unit of time, to suggest a speedy, energetic and dynamic car. The car rides on the e-Platform 3.0 with MacPherson front and multi-link rear suspension, has a rotating 12.8-inch screen and a 440-litre boot, and a company line was set aside for right-hand-drive markets. The 500,000th car was built in September 2023 and BYD announced one million by June 2025.
