British Rail Class 807

Passenger Rolling Stock and High-Speed Trainsets

The British Rail Class 807 Evero is an electric multiple unit built by Hitachi Rail for Avanti West Coast, based on the Hitachi A-train design. A total of ten seven-car units were produced. Construction in Britain began on 7 July 2020 using aluminium shells shipped from Hitachi's Kasado plant in Japan, with final production at Newton Aycliffe. Static testing began in June 2022, and entry into service, planned for 2023, slipped until Avanti West Coast accepted its first two units in July 2024. The first train entered service on 26 October 2024 as a soft launch, and passenger service between Liverpool Lime Street and London Euston followed in November 2024.
