The Bombardier Global 7500 is an ultra long-range business jet developed by Bombardier Aviation, formerly Bombardier Aerospace, and offered alongside the related Global 8000. Originally named the Global 7000, it was announced in October 2010 and made its first flight on 4 November 2016. A redesign of the wing in 2015, together with other design challenges, delayed the programme by more than two years. Transport Canada awarded type certification on 28 September 2018, the FAA followed on 7 November 2018, and the aircraft entered service on 20 December 2018. It is a clean sheet design with a new transonic wing and was the first purpose built business jet with a four-zone cabin. Its range is 7,700 nautical miles, about 14,300 kilometres, and the source describes it as the largest business jet in the world.
