The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a stealth, multirole, unmanned combat aerial vehicle under development by Boeing Australia for the Royal Australian Air Force. It was previously known as the Boeing Airpower Teaming System. The aircraft is meant to work as a force multiplier, flying alongside crewed aircraft as a loyal wingman within an integrated system that includes space-based capabilities, and it can also fly autonomous missions on its own using artificial intelligence. By October 2024 eight Block 1 vehicles had been built and had logged more than 100 hours of flight testing, with trials held at the RAAF Woomera Test Range Complex and flights from RAAF Base Tindal. The aircraft is designed and built in Melbourne, its wing is described as Boeing largest resin-infused single composite component, and it carries a modular, swappable mission nose package.
