The E9 is the range of coupes that BMW produced from 1968 to 1975, initially released as the 2800 CS and based on the 2000 C and 2000 CS four cylinder coupes, enlarged to take the M30 six cylinder engine. Its bodywork was built by Karmann. It grew into the 3.0 CS and CSi in 1971, the 3.0 CSL homologation special of 1972 which won the European Touring Car Championship six times, and the 2.5 CS of 1974. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1968 to 1975).
