Bedford MW

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Bedford MW was a general service truck manufactured by Bedford for use by the British Armed Forces during the Second World War. It was a 15 cwt, or 760 kilogram, load capacity 4x2 truck, powered by a Bedford 72 horsepower six-cylinder inline 210 cubic inch (3.5 liter) petrol engine through a four-speed transmission. Despite lacking four-wheel drive and so being unsuited to off-road use, the MW's powerful engine and short wheelbase made it a popular and versatile vehicle.
