Authi Morris 1300

The Authi Morris 1300 was the Spanish-built Morris 1300 four-door saloon, introduced by Authi in September 1968 with the Mark II body of the BMC ADO16 range and replacing the Authi Morris 1100. A Traveller three-door estate followed in February 1969 and replaced the Morris 1100 Traveller built in Spain, and in April 1969 a four-speed synchromesh gearbox was introduced across the Authi range. A Russian-language history of Authi says the Morris 1300 went into production in 1968 with a 58 horsepower engine, which helped Authi win about five percent of the Spanish market that year. In January 1971 the Austin 1300 Mk II replaced it, and the Authi and Morris names were dropped.
