The Authi Morris 1100 was the Spanish-built version of the BMC Morris 1100, the car known inside BMC as the ADO16, which Authi's Spanish sources praise for its advanced hydro-elastic suspension. Authi built it at Pamplona as part of the company's first range, with production listed from 1966 to 1972 in the 1100 and 1300 forms, and the first Spanish-built car reached the market in January 1967 in the form of an MG 1100. It was followed by the Austin Victoria in 1972, when the Victoria replaced the standard ADO16 models in the Spanish range. Building BMC designs in Spain let the corporation sell cars in a market that protected local builders from imports.
