The AMC AMX was a two seat GT style muscle car that American Motors Corporation produced from 1968 through 1970. One of just two American built two seaters, it competed directly with the Chevrolet Corvette for substantially less money, and was based on the new for 1968 Javelin with a shorter wheelbase and no rear seat. The AMX name came from the American Motors experimental code. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1968 to 1970).
