AMC Ambassador (1958 to 1959)

Automobiles

The 1958 Ambassador was the first after the decision to discontinue the Nash and Hudson brands, and the body received a total reskinning with surfaces stretched taut over a square rigged framework, removing any traces of the previous Nash derived roundness. The larger Ambassador was marketed as the Ambassador V8 by Rambler to identify it with the Rambler name's burgeoning success. It was built on the 117 inch platform of the earlier Rambler Rebel. Its model years run from 1958 to 1959.
