For 2026 the drive mode selection that the Equinox had gained on the RS and ACTIV trims for the first time in 2025 was expanded to all models. The fourth generation Equinox is built at the San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico alongside the GMC Terrain, and it is sold alongside the battery electric Equinox EV, which went on sale in 2024 for the 2024 model year. The Equinox Plus was the version sold in China from March 2024 to differentiate it from the previous generation.
