2026 BMW 1 Series

Automobiles

The F70 1 Series continued in 2026 as the fourth generation 1 Series, in production at the BMW Leipzig plant since July 2024. As the successor to the F40, it kept the front wheel drive layout, five door hatchback body and UKL2 platform, and it remained the smallest car in BMW's range in most countries around the world. The car had been unveiled on 4 June 2024 and launched in October 2024. It is built on the same platform as the 2 Series Gran Coupe.
