Production of the electric E-Transit Courier was scheduled to start in late 2024 at the Craiova plant in Romania, where the Puma crossover is also built. The second generation Transit Courier was a sharper looking van than the first, with a more modern interior. The Transit Courier was the smallest van in the Ford Transit range, based on the Fiesta platform. It was marketed mainly in Europe by Ford of Europe, with a leisure version called the Tourneo Courier.
