The Evos was renamed the Mondeo Sport in September 2024, from which time it was only available with a hybrid powertrain. Journalists had guessed that it would replace the Fusion and the Mondeo for North America and Europe, but Ford confirmed that it would not be sold in North America. The Mondeo Sport is a low slung crossover coupe that Ford and Changan build in China, first shown as the Evos. It was not sold in North America despite guesses that it would replace the Fusion and Mondeo.
