In March 2023 the Puma ST Powershift was officially launched with a 170 horsepower 1.0 litre mild hybrid engine and an automatic transmission. Sales started in South Africa from October 2023. The Puma became the best selling car in the United Kingdom in 2023 and the eighth best selling car in Europe for 2023. It was a subcompact crossover SUV based on the seventh generation Fiesta. It was positioned above the EcoSport and below the Kuga in Europe.
