In 2023 the G01 X3 was in its sixth year, produced for the world market at Spartanburg in South Carolina and at Rosslyn in South Africa, with the facelift of 2021. The iX3 G08 electric version was built in China, and the X3 M was the performance flagship of the range as the fourth generation X3 was prepared for its unveiling in June 2024. The X3 range continued with few changes in this period, as the fourth generation was being developed.
