The CX-60 was revealed on 8 March 2022, and the ceremony for the start of mass production was held in late April 2022 at the Mazda Hofu plant in Japan. It was available in Europe from April 2022 in the sole powertrain of the 2.5 liter e-Skyactiv plug-in hybrid petrol. In July Mazda introduced two diesel versions of the 3.3 liter mild hybrid, tuned to 200 and 254 PS, and in October a 3.3 liter turbocharged petrol engine was announced for markets such as Australia.
