Honda brought in an entry level Sport trim and a TrailSport trim aimed at off-road use for the Pilot in 2021, for the 2022 model year. Sport took the place of the discontinued LX and EX levels, and the TrailSport had a suspension lift raising ground clearance by 0.6 inches, along with black exterior trim and 18 inch alloy wheels. For 2022 the 8 inch infotainment system and LED headlights became standard equipment and the Sonic Gray Pearl exterior paint was introduced.
