Chevrolet discontinued the Spark after the 2022 model year, with production ceasing in August 2022. Production of the Spark at the Changwon, South Korea assembly plant ended in 2022, and production in South Korea ceased on 8 September 2022. The Spark had been manufactured by GM Korea from 1998 to 2022. The 2022 Spark was the last model year, a Korean made Chevrolet, after more than twenty years of the Spark and Matiz.
