The eK of 2021 was in its third year as the fourth generation, a kei car with the BR06 engine and a CVT in the eK Wagon and the crossover eK X, and the first Mitsubishi to adopt the MI-PILOT highway lane keeping assist, a rebadged version of Nissan's ProPILOT. The Nissan Dayz was the first kei car of Nissan with ProPILOT. The eK X is a crossover SUV-styled variant of the eK Wagon. The eK name is an abbreviation for excellent keijidosha and is meant to be pronounced ee kay.
