For the 2019 model year Lincoln dropped the naturally aspirated 3.7 liter V6 Duratec engine from the MKT lineup, making the twin turbocharged 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost the sole engine. After the 2019 model year Ford stopped using its D3 and D4 chassis, discontinuing the MKT and its counterparts, and within the Lincoln range the MKT was not directly replaced. The MKT was a rebadged variant of the Ford Flex, built at Oakville Assembly in Ontario beside the Edge and Lincoln MKX.
