2019 BMW 1 Series (F20, F21)

Automobiles

In July 2019 the BMW 1 Series F40 began production as the successor to the F20, ending the second generation after eight years. The F20 and F21 had been the last rear wheel drive 1 Series cars, as the third generation switched to front wheel drive for the first time. The F40 premiered at the Frankfurt show in September. The F20 was therefore built until mid year and the new car replaced it as 2019 went on. It had been on sale for eight years.
