The 2018 Honda NSX continued the second generation, hand built in Ohio with a 3.5 liter twin turbocharged V6 of 500 hp and three electric motors for a combined 573 hp. In August 2018 Honda announced overall improvements for the 2019 model year. In 2018 the NSX GT race car derived from the production car won the Super GT title, with Team Kunimitsu drivers Jenson Button and Naoki Yamamoto crowned as champions.
