The 2018 Pacifica continued the minivan introduced for 2017, built at Windsor Assembly in Ontario with the 3.6 liter Pentastar V6, in gasoline only and plug in hybrid forms. The plug in hybrid had a 16 kWh battery giving it 33 miles of range under electric power, and qualified in the United States for the full US$7,500 federal tax credit. On November 7, 2017, Waymo announced that it had begun testing driverless cars on the Pacifica plug in.
