After a two year hiatus the second generation Raptor returned for 2017, dropping its SVT prefix, with a 3.5 liter EcoBoost making 450 horsepower and the first 10 speed automatic transmission in a non commercial vehicle. For 2017 the 3.5 liter EcoBoost for the rest of the line was redesigned to 375 horsepower, with port fuel injection and auto start stop. The fourth generation Super Duty adopted the F-150 cab design. In October Ford recalled 1.3 million trucks for door latches that could freeze.
