In February 2015 Mini announced the end of production for both the Coupe and the Roadster, which had been sold since 2011 and 2012 respectively. The two seater sports cars had been derived from the Mini convertible and had not been replaced by any new model, so the 2015 year was the last for these cars, which were the first strict two seater Minis made by BMW. The Coupe and Roadster were not replaced by any later Mini.
