In September 2015 the British defence show DSEI displayed the second version of the Light Reconnaissance Vehicle 400, a Supacat open lightweight 4x4 that had switched to a Discovery 4 platform, alongside the Specialist Utility Vehicle 600, a Discovery 4 converted to 6x6 or 6x4 for emergency and utility work. The ordinary Discovery 4 stayed a body-on-frame seven-seater with the Integrated Body Frame of 2004, while a unibody successor was in development.
