Honda recalled around 32,000 Brio and Amaze cars sold in India in May 2014 over a possible wrong assembly of the proportioning valve, which affected only models without ABS. The Brio went on sale in the Philippines after a launch at the country's International Motor Show, held in September 2014. Its safety equipment includes dual front airbags, an anti lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution and front pretensioner seat belts.
