The second generation Everest was showcased at the Bangkok Motor Show in March 2014 and shown as a production vehicle in November 2014 ahead of its public debut at the Guangzhou show, so the 2014 car was the last first generation Everest, still on the older Ranger. The Everest was a seven seat SUV built on the Ranger pickup and sold mainly in the Asia Pacific region. In India the Everest was called the Endeavour, and the SUV had no Mazda counterpart.
