In 2013, in line with the MKZ and MKS, the front fascia of the MKT was redesigned, with the widely slatted grille replaced by a more narrowly spaced design and a redesign of the lower grille. After 2013 the 3.7 liter V6 produced 303 horsepower and the twin turbo 3.5 liter was retuned from 355 to 365 horsepower, and a 2.0 liter turbo inline four became available for the Town Car livery variant. The MKT was a rebadged variant of the Ford Flex, built at Oakville Assembly in Ontario beside the Edge and Lincoln MKX.
