The Transit Custom was unveiled at the 2012 Commercial Vehicle Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England, as the smaller van after Ford split the Transit range into the Custom and the larger Transit. It was a mid size van with front wheel drive and a 2.2 litre diesel. The Transit Custom was Ford's mid size van, in the Transit range between the Transit Connect and the larger Transit. Passenger versions were sold as the Tourneo Custom, and the van was developed by Ford of Europe.
