As a result, in August 2011 the Triton was pulled out from Mitsubishi's Japanese lineup, after being sold there since 2006 as the only pickup truck in the market. The Triton remained on sale in most markets as the L200, built exclusively in Thailand, and it was a critical failure in Japan though a success overseas. The Triton is a mid-size pickup truck, also known as the Mitsubishi L200, produced by Mitsubishi Motors.
