The Colt of 2011 was in its tenth year, a subcompact hatchback that replaced the Mirage, sold in Japan, Europe and Asia Pacific. The Colt Ralliart Version-R was powered by a turbocharged version of the 4G15 engine. The Colt was soon to be replaced by the Mirage and Space Star of 2012. The Colt nameplate is a nameplate from Mitsubishi Motors that has been applied to a number of automobiles since 1962. Chrysler, Mitsubishi's longtime partner, also used the Colt name for the Dodge and Plymouth Colt captive imports for the North American market between 1970 and 1994.
