For the 2011 model year the Suburban added three new exterior colors to the lineup, Mocha Steel Metallic, Green Steel Metallic and Ice Blue Metallic. The Suburban was in the fifth year of the GMT900 generation, a body style that GMC sold as the Yukon XL and that was also the basis for the Cadillac Escalade ESV. It was still available in half ton and three quarter ton versions. It was the fifth year of the GMT900 generation.
