For 2010 Mazda added electronic stability control and traction control to the Mazda5, safety features that were formerly cited as oversights. The third generation began production on 13 May 2010 and began sales in Japan on 1 July 2010. A facelift was introduced in 2010 featuring an additional rear fog lamp, smoked headlamps, and red tail lamp lens. The Premacy is a passenger minivan that was built by Mazda from 1999 to 2018.
