It became available in Europe in the first quarter of 2010, followed by other markets worldwide, with sales in the United States set to begin in early 2012. Production of the car started from December 2009 in Halol, Gujarat, India, and it was launched in India in January 2010 as the Chevrolet Beat. Prior to the 2011 elimination of the Daewoo marque in South Korea it was marketed as the Daewoo Matiz Creative.
