The fourth generation Dodge Ram 1500 was introduced at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, for the 2009 model year. Changes to the 1500 included a new Crew Cab body style, the optional RamBox cargo management system and a five link, coil spring rear suspension replacing the previous leaf springs. The redesigned 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups followed for 2010. The Ram was built by Chrysler as a full size pickup truck.
