The updated CX-7 was unveiled at the Canadian International AutoShow in February 2009, with a larger five point grille like the RX-8, MX-5 and Mazda3, revised rear lights, new gauges with a multi information display and Bluetooth, and a blind spot monitoring system. A diesel version with a manual transmission went on sale in Europe, where it was sold from 2009 to 2012. Autocar Indonesia readers chose it as favorite medium SUV.
