Antilock brakes became standard across all models for the 2008 model year. From 2008 onwards an available dealer installed option from the General Motors Performance Parts program was a modified computer tune with two new sensors that increased output to 290 horsepower, and a hardtop targa top, announced in mid 2008, was planned for the 2009 model year of the two seat Pontiac roadster built in Wilmington.
