In 2008 a sporty version called the Colt Plus iO was added for the Taiwan market. The Z30 series Colt built in the Netherlands also received a facelift in October 2008, unveiled at the Paris Auto Show, designed by Omer Halilhodzic with styling aligned to the 2007 Lancer. The 1.5 liter turbodiesel was removed from the range. The Colt nameplate is a nameplate from Mitsubishi Motors that has been applied to a number of automobiles since 1962.
