The Honda CR-V stayed in the top ten sellers in 2008 and was again the U.S. best selling SUV. The IIHS gave the third generation a good rating for frontal and side impact crash tests but only marginal for roof strength, and a June 2011 IIHS analysis found the lowest fatality rate in its class for the 2007 and 2008 model year CR-V. The sources used for this page record no change to the car itself that is specific to the 2008 model year.
