The Town Box of 2005 was in its seventh year, a kei car and minivan nameplate produced for the Japanese domestic market by Mitsubishi Motors, with the 3G83 three cylinder engine in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. It was available with two or four wheel drive, and with a four speed automatic or a five speed manual transmission, and the rear seat had been changed to a split bench. In Japan the Town Box was sold at Mitsubishi dealers as a kei wagon.
