2004 Honda S2000

Automobiles

The 2004 Honda S2000 underwent several significant changes and began the AP2 variant. Production moved to Suzuka, and the car gained 17 inch wheels with Bridgestone RE-050 tyres, a retuned suspension to reduce oversteer, a revised subframe, carbon fibre synchronizers in place of brass in the gearbox, new bumpers, revised headlights, LED tail lights and oval tipped exhaust pipes. For North America the F20C was replaced by the larger F22C1 of 2,157 cc, with the redline lowered to 8,000 rpm and shortened gear ratios, which is what gave the chassis its AP2 designation. Japanese, Australian and European cars received the cosmetic and suspension updates but kept the 2.0 liter F20C and the AP1 designation.
