Australia and many other countries received the third generation Honda Odyssey from early 2004. It used the 2.4 liter K24A i-VTEC engine, the same one found in the CR-V and Accord, with the RB2 4WD version only available with an automatic transmission, and a 200 PS variant of the engine for the sporty Absolute. The new engine also matched the fuel consumption of the old 2.2 liter, and all of this made the new Odyssey a sales success.
