In 2004 the Fusion was in its second full year on sale as a five seat mini MPV, with a Fiesta based platform, front wheel drive and a four metre length that made it easy to maneuver. It was exported to more than fifty countries including Angola, Turkey, Russia and Hong Kong. In Brazil and a number of Latin American countries Ford sold a crossover SUV variant of it as the EcoSport with revised styling and more ground clearance.
